Home Pro Roofing (“we”, “us”) is an independent publishing project operated by Frank Jost. This policy explains what personal information we collect on homeproroofingmd.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
Quote requests. When you submit the quote form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, city, and your project description.
Contact form. When you contact us, we collect your name, email address, and message.
Technical data. Our servers record standard technical logs (IP address, date and time, pages requested) for security and abuse prevention. The cost calculator runs entirely in your browser — it does not send us your inputs and requires no email.
How we use your information
Quote requests exist to be shared: when you submit one, you ask us to transmit your details to a small number of local roofing contractors or their intermediaries so they can contact you by phone or email about your project, as stated next to the submit button. That is the only purpose we share them for — we do not sell your details to unrelated third parties, and we do not send marketing newsletters.
Contact-form messages are used solely to answer you.
Retention
Form submissions are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Technical logs are kept for the shorter period our host applies.
Cookies & analytics
We do not use advertising cookies. The site only uses the technical storage strictly necessary for it to function (for example, remembering that you dismissed a banner for the duration of your visit).
For audience measurement we use a self-hosted instance of Matomo Analytics configured in cookieless mode: it sets no cookies, anonymizes IP addresses, and collects only aggregate, anonymous statistics (pages viewed, browser type, country). This data cannot be used to identify you, is processed by us alone, and is never shared with third parties.
Business listings
Our city guides display information about roofing businesses (name, rating, review count, category) compiled from publicly available sources such as Google Business Profile listings. This is public business information, not consumer personal data. Business owners can request a correction or removal at any time via our contact page — we act promptly on every request.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of the personal information we hold about you at any time — use the contact form or email [email protected]. Residents of certain U.S. states (including California) may have additional rights under state privacy laws; we honor such requests regardless of where you live. Note that once your quote request has been transmitted to contractors, their use of your details is governed by their own privacy policies.
Children
This site is intended for adults; we do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.
Hosting
The site is hosted by PlanetHoster Inc., Laval (Québec), Canada. Email for the domain is routed through Cloudflare, Inc.
